My ideas and teachings spread all across Europe because of the printing press. My followers were called Lutherans and in 1530 a new name came about-Protestant. People saw my arguments as an answer the church corruptions. But a few saw it as a way to get ride of the rule of the Church and the Holy Roman Emperor. Then in 1524 the peasants' revolted, they demanded an end to serfdom and other changes in there lives. I was not okay with the way the revolt turned violent so I had some nobles stop the revolt. Charles V tried to force Lutheran princes back into the Catholic Church, but he didn't have much success. So in 1555 they reached an agreement and signed the Peace of Augsburg which said the princes could choose Lutheran or Catholic. As my ideas spread another sect called Calvinism started. There ideas were much harsher than mine and John Calvin, the created had very strong and powerful views. I am very shocked that the ideas I had spread and became something much bigger than I could every imagine.
