Christopher Columbus- 1

Hello, I'm Christopher Columbus. I was born on October 31, 1451. I was born in Genoa, Italy. My dad was a wool wover, and also owned a cheese stand at which i worked as a helper. i have a keen intrest in the bible, and i know Latin, Portuguese, and Castilian. I have traveled all over the world, to places like: Iceland, India, Asia. I sail for King Ferdinand II and Queen Isabella of Spain. My first expidition i took 3 ships, The Nina, The Pinta, and The Santa Maria. I was the captain of the Santa Maria, the largest of the 3 ships. On that expidition i made my way to Japan, when we arrived i called it San Salvador. I sailed back to the east coast of Asia another 3 times. I called the people on the lands Indios spanish for "indians". While there I was appointed Viceroy and Governor of the Indies. I was in jail for six week due to torturing the people on the Indies.
